Rejuvenation, Releases and Recommendations

Greetings Readers!

It's been a couple of weeks since my last update/non-promo email, so I thought I'd let you all know what's been going on with me recently.

The Adventures of Josain Jovenne

As I mentioned in my last update, I'm working on a reader magnet that ties into my Throvani Ethrionth Star System Series, and features a green-haired space adventurer named Josain Jovenne. I added 5,000 words to The Adventures of Josain Jovenne, this week, which I'm very happy about.

Here's a little teaser.

Josain Jovenne Gets a Christmas Story

After the successful launch of the After The Rain Anthology, from the Write Here, Write Now Community, the community leader, Karen Sanders, thought it would be fun if members came together to write a Christmas anthology for release later this year. The difference from After The Rain is that this one won't be for charity, and instead is intended to showcase the writers of the WH,WN community.

Of course, as soon as I saw the announcement in the WH, WN group, I *knew* I had to write another story featuring Josain. So, this time we'll find her crash-landing at the North Pole, where she meets an alluring pink-haired elf named Effie.

More details to come as I write the story, and we begin promotion for the anthology.

The Throvani Ethrionth Star System Series is Taking Over

Once I've completed The Adventures of Josain Jovenne, I'll be back to work on the continuation of THE STARLIGHT PRINCE, and already ideas are forming in my head for future books.

In The Starlight Prince, Kalas mentions a planet called Valeth, which is inhabited by witches. I quickly realized Valeth would make the perfect setting for one of my older, unfinished WIPS, THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON.

Then I saw that Storyteller Publisher 22 (who is the publisher for Beyond Starlight: An Alien Fated-Mates Collection) is looking for participants for *more* collections.

The Dark Side of the Moon will work perfectly for the collection Shadow Witches: Walk into the Darkness, which is looking for witchy romantasy stories where they are corrupted by darkness.

If you're a writer, please consider checking out Storyteller Publisher 22, as they're open for submissions for multiple collections, as well as shared-world series books.

And There's More To Come

While I was on the Storyteller Publisher 22's submissions page, I could not resist the lure of their other collections.  I've signed up for *both* Sorceress' Kiss and The Untitled Fairytale Retellings, and have plans in mind for those stories.

Plus there are a couple of shifter shared-world series that were announced in the Storyteller Publisher 22 Facebook Group, and I of course signed up for!

If all goes to plan, the next couple of years should be busy for me writing and publishing-wise.

I had a great chat with Karen Sanders recently. As well as being the owner/founder of the Write Here, Write Now Community, Karen is one of my oldest friends and biggest cheerleader. Talking to her really helped rejuvenate my motivation, and she had some excellent suggestions for things I can do to try and keep myself on track when ADHD makes it hard to focus.

It's Not Always Books

While I've had a lot of bookish ideas on my mind, my brain has also been occupied with all the exciting TV shows and gaming news. Seeing franchises I love flourish really inspires me.

The second season of Anne Rice's Interview With the Vampire just ended *sad face* but it was been spectacular. Of course, I'm completely in love with Lestat (who isn't?) but I've been blown away by the actors who played Claudia (Delainey Hayles), Louis (Jacob Anderson) and Armand (Assad Zaman).  I'm very excited for season three, and rockstar Lestat!

And House of the Dragon came back recently, too. I'm firmly on 'Team Black' apart from when Aemond is on screen. He is just too pretty.

I know what's coming this season, as I read the book (and I can't resist online spoilers), but I'm still super excited to see it all unfold on screen. It's going to be epic.

Speaking of epic dragon-related media, BioWare *finally* announced more details for Dragon Age 4: The VeilGuard (fka Dreadwolf), including a 15-minute game-play preview, and a look at the new companions.

I'm excited to catch up with Solas, and slap that egg for what he did to the Inquisitor in DA:I. I'm very scared for Varric's life, and may rage quite if he's killed. And I'm *very* much looking forward to romancing Lucanis. I hope he doesn't break my heart like Anders did in DA 2.

What TV shows, movies, books, comics and/or video games have you been enjoying recently?

That's All I've got For You, For Now

I'll be back later in the month with two rounds of Book Funnel swaps/ promos, and of course a regular update as to what I've been working on etc.

But if you want to keep in touch with me in other places, all my social media profiles are linked on my About Page.

Until next time, take care and read on!
